The game mechanics are very similar to the cookie-clicker series of games, but you program the manual clicking out, and the rate of your income is based on the scripts you write. It's a story that's open ended enough where the expectation is that you will hack through everything eventually, so that's all built in. There is a cool cyberpunk story here that becomes multiple stories as you play (no spoilers). As for the game, this isn't typing of the dead where its just some mindless fun. Is the game perfect? No, some quality of life features for debugging would be good for newbies like me, but what the game does have is a full-featured suite of commands that give you plenty of room to experiment, learn, and debug on your own. What is overwhelming is learning to code, but the game doesn't really step on its own toes in the process.
